If you are a photographer who clicks stunning images and is interested to sell your photos online, then you need to know about Shutterstock and Adobe Stock, a Contribution photo-sharing platform to make money by selling your photos.

What is Shutterstock?

Shutterstock is one of the largest stock photography companies that sell photos to users who want to buy photos for commercial, film and editing purposes. With over 100 Million unique photos, Shutterstock allows you to download unlimited photos at a very low price.

Getting started with Shutterstock is free and easy. You need to register as a Shutterstock contributor using their website. Once you register successfully you can start uploading your photos. You can choose any number of photos to upload. Once you upload your photos, they will be sent to the review team. Once the team approves your photos then it will be available to sell on Shutterstock.

What is AdobeStock?

Like Shutterstock, AdobeStock is also one of the largest photography company run by Adobe.  To get started with AdobeStock you need to register as a contributor by visiting their website. Once you register successfully then you can start uploading your photos. You need to upload photos and should write a relevant title and choose relevant tags that are applicable.

For example, if you upload any tree photos, then you can tag them under nature, beauty,  park, etc.,

Here are the points to remember as a Contributor:

• You should not upload photos that are not copyrighted to you.
• You should not upload photos that are already available on the internet.
• You should not upload photos that contain promoting materials like brand names. if so your photos will be rejected.
• You need to upload photos with a minimum resolution of 5000 pixels X 3000 pixels for AbodeStock
• You should not upload photos that are irrelevant to users.
• You should be the owner of your photos.
• You cannot upload photos for publicity purposes, or your own photos.
• Make sure you stick with the photography guidance provided by Shutterstock and AdobeStock.

How much you can make selling photos?

You make money every time when a user downloads your photos or subscribe to Shutterstock. You can also make money when your image has on-demand value. Once you reach a minimum threshold you can withdraw to your bank account or Paypal account.
